BUSINESS DESCRIPTION: In 2009, Golf PEI has grown to twenty one members representing golf courses right across the province. Working both collectively and on their own, Golf PEI and its individual operators have made PEI a golf mecca for visitors across the country and across the continent. And the accolades continue.
Golf PEI now offers over 40 Golf packages. Prince Edward Island has 10 of the top 100 courses in all of Canada as rated by Canada’s influential Globe and Mail, and nearly 5% of the top 350 courses in North America as rated by Golf Digest. The majority of courses are located within a 45 minute drive of each other. It doesn’t get much better than that!
SPECIAL FEATURES: Back in 1989, a group of six golf course operators had the foresight to realize that to grow their own business, they needed to grow the golf industry on PEI. They also recognized that they needed to work together to maximize the effect of their efforts. To do that, they formed Golf PEI, an industry association devoted to the promotion and development of golf on PEI.
In 2009, Golf PEI played host to the “Big Break”, in a two year partnership with the Golf Channel.
Golf PEI now has its own on-line and direct call reservation centre to book play at any member course. Packages including accommodation, transport and other services are available, both as standard or custom. Our representatives provide unsurpassed local knowledge when it comes to helping you make decisions about which courses and accommodations best meet your needs. We can also handle all your booking needs, from tee times and accommodations through to airline travel, car rental and even dinner reservations.
PLAN IT, BOOK IT. ONE CALL DOES IT ALL.
“The Undiscovered Golf Destination of the World - 2011”, as voted on by the International Association of Golf Travel Writers, and we accepted this award in Spain in November of last year.
